<Incheon Young Artists 2025 – The Dream of The Awake> is being held at the 3rd-floor exhibition hall of the Tri-bowl, a multi-cultural complex in Songdo, Incheon, through September 27. Professor Cha Ki-Yul from the Department of Fine Arts at Incheon National University serves as the artistic director, with Professor Jang Kyung-Ae as the associate curator, leading the overall planning, artist selection, and exhibition composition.

This exhibition features 13 emerging artists who are actively working in Incheon, and holds significance as a platform for collaboration and growth among local artists. Rather than simply displaying works, the exhibition presents the creative journeys of each artist as they freely cross the boundaries between life and art, reality and ideals. Their works encompass a wide range of themes—from inner psychology and memory, to social phenomena and political issues, nature and the city, and the relationship between advanced technology and humanity. With diverse media and expressive formats including painting, installation, video, performance, and media art, the exhibition offers audiences a multilayered and immersive experience.

In the exhibition preface, Professor Cha Ki-Yul stated, “Young artists are the most pioneering force in contemporary art, breaking down the boundaries of traditional genres and forms,” emphasizing that The Dream of The Awake is not a utopian ideal but an urgent will enacted within reality. He continued, “Their state of awakening begins with a keen awareness of harsh realities, but it does not end there—they use art not as an escape, but as a tool for change.”
